Information for apprentices: what is an apprenticeship?
It can feel stressful when deciding what steps to take in your career.
It’s important to weigh up all the options available, find out as much information as you can, and sit down and go through the pros and cons of all opportunities.
Going to college or university are popular options for many people, but so is the opportunity to train and earn during an apprenticeship.
Over recent years, there has been a real shift in education and training options with many more now opting for the apprenticeship route.
From August to October 2022, the UK saw more than 22,000 apprentices enrolling in both Higher and Degree Level Apprenticeships.
An apprenticeship is much more than a job - it is a step into or a step up in the career you want to pursue. It is an opportunity to develop a broad range of skills employers want and need!
Each and every year close to 10,000 people kick start their careers in the South Yorkshire region through an apprenticeship.
