Welcome to The South Yorkshire Apprenticeship Hub – a brand-new service supporting businesses and individuals to make more informed and better choices about apprenticeships within Sheffield, Rotherham, Doncaster and Barnsley.
Who are apprenticeships for?
Apprenticeships are open to almost everyone over the age of 16.
For businesses, they provide the opportunity to attract new talent into your business or upskill and retain existing talent, creating a skilled workforce for the future by ensuring employees are equipped with the skills they need to thrive in the long term. The growth and success of any business depends on its workforce and equipping the right people with the right skills can ultimately futureproof the organisation.
For individuals, an apprenticeship provides the opportunity to either start, redirect or progress your career. Apprentices include school and college leavers, university graduates, people looking to return to work and practicing professionals.
The opportunities are endless with apprenticeships and are a perfect way to gain real-life industry experience whilst in paid employment.
